Prior to the founding the Calta Group, Ignazio and Gaetano held senior executive positions with one of Europe's largest development and construction conglomerates, where they managed and built in-excess of 10 million square feet of commercial, industrial and residential real estate. Their portfolio included 7 five-star hotels throughout Italy and management of in-house sales teams generating over €2.5 billion in project sales. Their most noteworthy project is considered Europe’s largest industrial renovation project, converting a 19th century industrial mill into a 400-room hotel and spa, convention center and 85 luxury apartments.
