Miky Grendene

Miky Grendene

Casa Tua

Miky Grendene is the co-founder of Casa Tua, the international hospitality brand built around a simple idea: to create places where people feel at home.

Grendene opened the original Casa Tua in Miami in 2001 with his wife, Leticia, transforming a historic revival villa in the heart of South Beach into a restaurant and private members club, one of the first of its kind in the U.S. What began as a deeply personal project rooted in how they lived, hosted, and gathered has grown into a global presence with locations in Aspen, New York, and most recently, Capri.

Each space is born from personal connection and natural alignment with Grendene’s lifestyle. An avid traveler and sports enthusiast, Grendene has enjoyed time in Aspen since the 1980s and opened Casa Tua Aspen, the first extension beyond Miami, in the winter of 2010. Over a decade later, Casa Tua expanded to New York, marking a deliberate step in its evolution. As of April 2026, the group has opened the doors to its first European destination in Capri. Under Grendene’s direction, Casa Tua has grown thoughtfully, with each location maintaining the same sense of intimacy and connection as the original home in South Beach.

Within Casa Tua, Grendene has expanded the brand’s culinary footprint through Cucina by Casa Tua, where the focus turns to the very heart of the home—the kitchen—connecting people with the process, the craft, and to one another. Designed as a theatrical ecosystem where multiple stations operate in full view of guests, Cucina demonstrates that operational scale can be achieved without compromising quality. Built on the same principles of showmanship, pride, and care that defined the original Casa Tua, the concept has become one of the country’s highest-performing restaurants per square foot while preserving the warmth and emotion of cooking at home.

Following the opening of Capri, the group has entered a period of measured expansion with new destinations for both Casa Tua and Cucina planned across the U.S. and Europe. Projects include Cucina at Brooklyn’s landmark One Hanson Place with Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment, Cucina at One Beverly Hills alongside Cain Capital, Aman and other world-class partners, and Cucina at Boston’s Copley Place in partnership with Simon Property Group. These openings are joined by new Casa Tua locations in Los Angeles and Venice, the latter representing further expansion within the country that has shaped the brand’s way of being from the very start.

Grendene is also extending the Casa Tua philosophy into residential living through ORA by Casa Tua, a mixed-use building in Brickell currently in development with Fortune International Group. The project reflects his long-held belief that hospitality is not simply a service, but a way of living.

Born in Padua and raised in the countryside near Venice, Grendene’s approach is shaped by a lifetime of exposure to Italian craftsmanship, cultural sensibility, and style. He began his career in Milan before moving to Miami in 1989, where he was involved in the development and resurgence of South Beach through his work in real estate as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at the Portofino Group. This early experience continues to inform his understanding of space, design, and how people come together.

Grendene’s current focus is on the ongoing strategic expansion of the Casa Tua brand he has spent years cultivating. His vision is to transcend the “Casa Tua Lifestyle” into new and broader markets, involving his children Giovanni, Alessandra, and Luca in the next chapter of growth.

Grendene is a collector and dealer of fine art, exhibiting and representing some of the most renowned names in contemporary photography. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, kitesurfing, mountain biking, and playing tennis. He divides his time between Miami, Aspen, and Europe with his wife, Leticia and their three children.
