There are many significant sales that mark Nelson’s career. In 2025, Nelson marketed and sold 88 La Gorce Circle on La Gorce Island for $74.25 million, which was the highest single-family home sale in Miami Beach. Two additional notable sales of his were 4774 North Bay Road selling at $29.5 million and 2288 Sunset Drive selling at $25 million. In 2024, Nelson sold 3 properties with a selling price of over $24,000,000; 263 Ocean Blvd - closing at $34 million, still ranking as the second most expensive home in Golden Beach, where Nelson brokered the deal between seller and buyer. In 2021, he sold the former waterfront mansion of Al Capone, twice – the first time at $10.75 million and a second time at $15.5 million. In 2016, he facilitated the sale between the seller and buyer, Ransom Everglades School, of 3551 Main Highway in Coconut Grove for $34.6 million, as well as 2015’s $33 million sale of 5800 North Bay Road to Phil Collins.
Adding to his status as an industry heavyweight, Nelson’s portfolio comprises exceptional listings throughout Miami Beach’s most exclusive communities—from the Sunset Islands, Palm and Hibiscus islands, to Miami Beach’s Millionaire’s Row (North Bay Road) and Pine Tree Drive. Clients routinely return to Nelson for later transactions—drawn to his negotiating skills, uncompromising standards and exemplary personal attention.
Intimate knowledge of Miami Beach history—from its 90’s Art Deco renaissance to its current status as one of the most sought-after destinations for high-net-worth individuals worldwide—is key to Nelson’s practice. His insight comes naturally. He was born and raised in Miami, later earning his business degree from the University of Central Florida. Once back in South Florida, Nelson began his real estate practice and joined BHHS EWM Realty (then known as Esslinger Wooten-Maxwell) in 1998.
As an added testament to his top-level expertise and white-glove service, Nelson was voted “Best Realtor” in a 2017 real estate study conducted by Bendixen & Amandi International and

Community involvement is also important for Nelson. He is a member of the Miami Beach Police League and actively participates in efforts to increase neighborhood safety and help Miami Beach’s less fortunate families. Nelson is an athlete and an avid cyclist cycling 80 to 100 miles per week.
