Johnny is inspired by the transformative power of architecture to enrich urban life and improve the experience not only for those who occupy a building but also for the pedestrians who simply pass by. His belief in architecture as a civic act is reflected in his advocacy for sustainable design and construction strategies that foster a holistic relationship between buildings, people, and the environment. His track record of designing buildings that consistently exceed industry standards for performance and market value speaks for itself. This includes domestic multifamily residential developments—such as the iconic 220 Central Park South, an evolution of the firm’s work along the corridor south of the park, which continues to command record-high prices—as well as international projects like the award-winning Heart of Lake high-rise garden suburb in Xiamen, China, and developments in Shanghai and Hangzhou.
Johnny’s current projects include The Ritz-Carlton Residences, The Woodlands, a high-end residential community north of Houston that filters the firm’s apartment expertise through a local architectural lens, and the St. Regis Residences, Miami, an Art Deco-inspired tower on the edge of Biscayne Bay offering sweeping views of Miami. As one of RAMSA's leading experts in emerging design and collaboration technologies, Johnny regularly gives presentations and workshops to share his expertise in software platforms. He holds degrees from both the University of Notre Dame and Yale University. In the spring of 2022, he returned to Notre Dame to teach a graduate studio focused on multifamily residential design.
