Steve Stuart is a Managing Director at Fortress Investment Group and is Head of New Business Origination for the Credit and Real Estate team. Mr. Stuart was one of the partners who started this business in 2002. In addition, he started a Fortress sponsored PE firm and returned to Fortress as a partner in 2016. Prior to Fortress, he worked in the real estate groups at Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs, where he started his career in 1986 working in several areas of asset-based financing and securitization including loan pool purchases from banks, insurance companies and the RTC.
